Half-Moon Handbag
Cute and sweet.
Craft this adorable small bag with this quick and easy pattern suitable for any sewing level.
This gently rounded bag looks cute tucked under your arm or dangling sweetly from your wrist. The simple design means your finished bag will look great in a print or a pretty solid fabric. Top it off with a unique button and you'll have a cute new bag in just 1-2 hours (depending on your sewing skill level and speed)!
As with all Keyka Lou patterns this bag is designed to use a minimal amount of fabric for maximum impact.
Detailed instructions along with a few of my favorite sewing tips. Includes pattern pieces for the bag body, flap and strap footing. Instructions show you how to use a ruler or yardstick to complete the pocket and strap.
Approximate Finished Dimensions:
10.5" at widest point x 4.5" high x 2.5" deep, one 18" strap
Supplies:
3/4 yard focus fabric (outer fabric), 1/2 yard lining fabric, 1/2 yard iron-on interfacing, 1” button, 4” elastic, ruler or yardstick, fabric marker or chalk, thread.
Please note that you can make more than one bag with these fabric amounts but do need 19" of continuous fabric to create the strap.
6 pages of instructions, 2 photographs of completed bag, 10 photos & 2 illustrations show the steps.
